rice easy Beefy Spanish rice Recipe - This simple Spanish Rice Recipe is delicious and easy to prepare. The Basmati rice makes for nice flavourful dish with lots of zing.

Ingredients to make Easy Beefy Spanish Rice Recipe

1 lb lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 10 oz. can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 cup of water
1 cup Basmati rice

Directions to make Easy Beefy Spanish Rice Recipe

Step 1:

In a large skillet, brown the lean ground beef over medium heat. Stir in the rice. Mix well.

Step 2:

Stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce and water.

Step 3:

Cover and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low and simmer, still covered, for 20 minutes until rice is tender. The key to perfect rice is to not remove the lid and do not peek.

Step 4:

Stir when finished. Make sure that it has completely cooled before transferring it to a freezer bag. This will keep well frozen for up to 3 months.Defrost in the refrigerator for 24 hours before serving or remove from freezer bag and defrost in the microwave. Reheating can be done in either the microwave or on the stovetop.
