Ingredients to make Rustic Spanish Rice fot the Crockpot

1 pound of lean hamburger meat
1 1/2 cups long grain rice, raw
1/2 cup butter
1 cup tomato juice
2 cups water
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 tsp. salt

Directions to make Rustic Spanish Rice fot the Crockpot

Step 1:

In a skillet brown ground round and onion. Place in a crock pot.

Step 2:

saute rice in butter until golden brown. Blend it in with meat.

Step 3:

Add tomato juice, water and green pepper to mixture. Stir well.

Step 4:

cover and cook on Low5-6 hours, or, high 2-3 hours.
